Gamesys HQ to be secured by HENSON

The online gaming operator Gamesys, who were recently acquired by US casino entertainment giants Bally, have appointed HENSON Security as their partner for access control installation at their new 100,000 sq ft Central London office. This amazing opportunity is currently one of the largest office refurbishments in the West End at the former Acadia building at 70 Berners Street.

The iconic Oxford Street fronted property is spread over 4 floors, with an impressive double-height reception and the building is flooded with natural daylight through 2 main atriums, a roof terrace and a spectacular swooping spiral staircase which connects the working floors encouraging interaction and collaboration between 1000 staff members who will be based at this head office. Over 50 door controllers will be installed here to a combination of single and double doors and 9 speedlanes which will ensure complete all round protection for this tech driven company. High security solenoid bolts have also been chosen for complete peace of mind which also complies to meet stringent fire egress regulations.

Working closely with Gamesys' facilities and IT teams, We have spent the past six months understanding the flow and expected lay-outs of the office space, departments and sensitive areas, which also includes a sub-tenanted space. This included adapting fire escapes routes to ensure areas leading onto landlord common areas are monitored and secured. Various areas have also been selected for read in and read out control to ensure complete traceability for high security and sensitive areas.

Gamesys have opted for a Paxton access control system which will easily integrate into their other existing UK sites and will eventually have full UK site wide management via their existing network to ensure complete control from this HQ. We've opted for MiFARE readers, which also allows for integration into RFID employee lockers, and a 'tap to print' printing and photocopier system.

A Gamesys spokesperson said: “We are proud to be committing our future to London, where we have been based for the last 20 years. As we embrace hybrid working it’s important to have a brilliant space for face-to-face collaboration and we look forward to moving in the middle of 2022.” We at HENSON are proud to be trusted to secure this space and look forward to protecting it for many years to come.
